Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Gambit Paid Off In Spades
The world’s attention fixated on Marvel last week as the studio slowly but surely revealed the cast of Avengers: Doomsday over a five-and-a-half-hour livestream.

The livestream began at 11 AM ET and continued until roughly 4:30 PM ET. Over that period, 27 cast member chairs were revealed.

The Reveal Was a Massive Success
Revealing the cast of the next Avengers story in a livestream largely devoid of action and context, Marvel gambled that their loyal audience would sit on pins and needles as the announcement unfolded. It was a risky proposition but one that paid off handsomely.
Now that the dust has settled, we can report that the Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement was the biggest Marvel livestream ever, generating 275 million digital views and 3.1 million social interactions.
In total, 55 different terms related to Doomsday trended on X, and #AvegnersDoomsday was the most talked-about topic for over seven hours.
