Remember the claw clips craze of 2022? The Noughties hair staple, most memorably seen on Rachel Green on the set of FRIENDS, came back with a vengeance a few years back, taking social media by storm as our fave influencers started flaunting the accessory on their feeds.
Now the clip is staking its claim on fashion in 2024. It makes sense. The ’90s are having a moment, and the claw clip was its crowning hair accessory. Perhaps since the millennial and Gen Z kids have come of age, they’ve realised our mums were pretty cool after all and dusted off the throwback pics we used to laugh at. After all, the ‘90s was an absolute belter for beauty and fashion.

According to LTK, posts featuring the flower claw up are up 600%, while Pinterest UK has seen search volume for the accessory more than double in the last three months. The style takes approximately seven seconds to create, doesn’t require heat styling, barely requires a brush and still looks fantastic. Honestly, it’s as functional as it is fashionable. It gets hair out the way and manages to look neat and flirty (thanks to nude napes).
