‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Crosses $900 Million- Is Now the 8th Highest-Grossing MCU Film Ever

Less than two weeks after the film first hit theaters, Deadpool & Wolverine has crossed the $900 million mark at the global box office.

Through Wednesday, the film had made $431 million in domestic theaters and $472.3 overseas. Yesterday, the film added another $14.1 million overseas and $9.8 million in North America.

Domestically, the film has now surpassed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Captain Marvel to become the 8th highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. The movie should eventually pass Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($453.8 million) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($459 million).

The fact that Deadpool & Wolverine is the first R-rated MCU film makes its box office run even more impressive.

The Film Has Surpassed Both Previous ‘Deadpool’ Films Overseas

Internationally, the film has surpassed the overseas total of Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Previously, Deadpool & Wolverine had already outgrossed both prior Deadpool films domestically and globally.

Through Wednesday, the top overseas markets for the latest Marvel blockbuster have been:

China ($49.6 million), the UK ($48 million), Mexico ($34.9 million), Australia ($26.4 million), Germany ($21 million), France ($20.6 million), Brazil ($19.2 million), Spain ($16.9 million), India ($16.6 million) and Italy ($14.4 million).

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Will Soon Hit the $1 Billion Mark

By the end of the weekend, Deadpool & Wolverine will cross the $1 billion barrier. When it does, it will be only the second R-rated film to achieve that feat. It will also have surpassed Oppenheimer to become the second-highest-grossing R-rated film ever.

After a difficult 2023, Deadpool & Wolverine proved to be the savior Marvel needed. For Disney, the film will be its second $1 billion grossing film this year.
